Deen Bandhu Samaj was founded by Mar Paulinus Jeerakath CMI in 1975 at Konta in the Eparchy of Jagdalpur.The spirit of the congregation visioned by the founder is to imitate Christ who was the friend and liberator of the poor, the oppressed, ignorant, hungry and suffering. At present there are 138 professed members in the congregation and it has got 27convents. The Charism of the Congregation is to closely follow Jesus, the embodiment of God's merciful love, so as to be sent out by the Spirit to proclaim the Good News of his redeeming love to the poor, the sick and the oppressed wherever the members of theDBSCongregation are called and placed to serve the Lord in His people.
